Well this is awkward. Sorry that I literally have not posted in forever. When I haven't been dancing with my besties at Ultra, I've been trying to squeeze in those two jobs, ya know? Rough.
Recently, I've noticed that I really do not have one consistent style. It used to be pretty basic, but I would definitely say I've been exploring some other alternatives. From studs, skulls, & sparkles, to vintage, all the way to denim vests, and on occasion you can catch me in some Nike dunks. Quite the variety. What does this even mean? Apparently, if this is my way of expression, I've got a lot to say.
But surprisingly, I don't. I can tell you about my first time at Wynwood Art Walk, though. I wasn't really sure what to expect, to tell you the truth. I knew it would be artsy and cool, but how big was it? Was it all outside? How many people would be there? I was slightly mind-blown to say the least. After getting dropped off in a cab, I can already hear loud electronic music; perfect. The Wynwood Walls were a lot taller than I had pictured, and there was even an exhibit inside of a blacklit neon trailer which was right up my ally as well. Sad to say, we didn't last much longer after finding the plethora of food trucks. I don't want to talk about it. [But if I did, I would def recommend Ms. Cheezious, lolz]
I wish I had more time to write, but more emails are calling my name.
Deuces,
JJ

Finally catching up on MBFW; it's about time. It's funny how you [well, or me, at least] can be so fond of certain items from a designer's line and the others are just meh. I'm talking about you, Michael Kors. Bags & shoes, I'm in. Clothes, :/ ; slanty smiley being the best [only] way to express that emotion. The clothes just don't do much for me; I did really like his dresses at the end, though, with the flowy high-low tutu/skirts. And I'm a big, big fan of the goldenrod color he is bringing in; I hope it sticks. Lastly about MK, as always, adore the shoes.
J. Mendel evening gowns are to die for. They're so elegant and beautiful. Below is Allison Williams [Marney from GIRLS] pictured in one from the newest collection.
That's literally all my brain can handle right now. I've been trying to write this post for a few days and I kept falling asleep. Grreaaat blogger qualities. I'll try to post again tomorrow, though, because I want to express my love for the LF sale 8)

NYC Fashion Week is Upon Us
...how badly do we all wish we were there right now? Maybe someday, JacJac. I'm watching live right now, though. Can we talk about how frumpy the clothing by NICHOLAS K is? Clearly, I was not a fan. Everything looked the same for both the males and the females, down to those weird-ass goggles they were wearing. Don't get me wrong, being different is what makes all things great and interesting, but this was just obscure, and I wasn't into it. Oh, and the models weren't working the shoes either; they looked like they were just clugging along. BCBGMAXAZRIA, on the other hand, I was all about that. I loved the matching hats near the end. Do you know the origin of the brand name? It stems from Parisian slang "good style, good attitude" bon chic, bon genre and CEO & designer's name, Max Azria. How's that for a fun fact of the day? Max's wife, Lubov, works with him as well; love it!
Fashion week is off to a fantastic and glamourous start. What are your thoughts so far? Who are you most excited to see? Personally, I cannot wait for next Wednesday [Feb. 13] to see what [my girl] Rachel Zoe, Michael Kors, and Mendel have in store for us. And, of course, for Ralph Lauren & Calvin Klein on the last day, February 14. Welp, that's what I'll be doing on Valentine's Day, haiiii.
Here is a link to the full schedule, where you can also watch live as well as the rebroadcasts: NYC Fashion Week LIVE & Schedule
Lastly, isn't Josh Groban just an inspiring human being? He has been on a lot of talk shows recently [which I watch now that I work from home most days and like to channel my inner "mommy blogger" for Bobbi-Toads] and he has caught my eye.

Fugly to Fab
Ever wonder what to do with those old pants that you're oh-so-reluctant to throw away? Hold up, because I'm going to teach you how to turn your old pants from fugly to fab.
As most of you know, I work at a buy-sell-trade store in the Grove. [Sale Rack. Get to it, people.] We get inexpensive pants in all the time, and they are great for something like this as well. My boss sent me home with a few of the more, shall we say, unsightly pairs to 'mutilate'.
The first look is complete grunge; in the best way possible, that is. Perfect shorts for the beach or tailgating. Heads up though: don't get too carried away with the bleach, because it can tear through the material if it's too strong.
The next look is completely different. Took a pair of black jazz pants as I've been calling them and turned them into cuffed shorts with accented back pockets. Check it out.
Alright, everyone, that's all I've got for now. Holla if you have any questions, because I really just do a free-for-all when I create these and just casually took some photos this time around, so they may be missing some details. Also, special shoutout to my roomie, Jenna, for helping me by being the best model a girl could ask for, mwah!

So you're low on cash from the holidays but you need to feed your addiction..
Well, then check out these deals I found to pull together this trendy-af outfit. Need all of this in my closet. ASAP. Believe it or not, the outfit began with the simple black thigh-highs; I booked a flight home to Chicago today, so I've got colder-weather-fashion on my mind. Next I paired it with a Jack by BB Dakota cardigan from UO; super comfy (and therefore clutch). The shoes: Deena & Ozzy Split-Wedge Ankle Boots. Srsly get them now they're on mad sale for $19.99. I have them in solid grey suede and they're a great go-to pair for almost any occasion. I didn't think this outfit was going to go so far as leather shorts, but it did. These Vegan Leather Shorts by Free People are hot right now. Leather is hot right now, guys, get on it. I also noticed that my good friend (Right.) Rachel Zoe backs these shorts too, what's up. Next, I wanted to add a loose tank; you want to steer away from sleeves when those on the sweater are on the tighter side; it looks funny & it's uncomfortable. This studded cross tank is on sale for £7, so like $11. Lastly, I'd like to point out that the wrong amount of jewelry would kill this outfit (and not in a good way). There's already so much going on, so a simple ring, like this onyx ring from Etsy, and a pair of studs will be just right! Somebody buy this for me, kthanks.
PS- The links are still black unless you hover over them; my b. I will try to fix that soon.

Pink Hurr Don't Currrr
Okay, so now that my corporate job search is over and I've settled into my post-grad life a little, I dyed the ends of my hair pink. I've been getting a lot of compliments, so I thought I'd show you how I did it! (blurred my face out because I'm awkward...like really, what kind of face do you make? I'm not smiling for a selfie)
First, part your hair how you normally would, and then braid it in pigtails.
Next, rub the dye thoroughly through the selected portions of your hair. Make sure you get the whole area up by the elastic, it can be tricky. I recommend using rubber gloves so that you don't dye your hands as well. This girl also recommends Hot Hot Pink Manic Panic because it's semi-permanent and goes on very easily.
Alright, then you wrap the parts you're coloring in tin foil and let it chill for about 25 minutes or so. Then, if desired for extra intensity, you can heat the ends with a blow dryer for a few minutes.
Last, rinse the dye out with cold water. It's going to take a little while, but you can wash your hair normally after (note: dye may still rinse out slightly for the next few washes).
Voila! And shoutout to my girl Kelly.
Let me know if you have any questions about the process; I'm more than willing to share more tips! :)
Peace, Love, & Fashion.

Pics on Pics on Pics
Wow, I can't believe this is my first post of the new year -- eeeeek, super sorry about that; I've been really busy with Bobbi-Toads per usual. Also, tons of visitors in Miami recently! I got a new Fujifilm Finepix camera for Christmas because, like everyone else, I'm convinced I am a photographer ever since my first upload to Instagram. But really, I just wanted a camera to play with; what a fun big-kid toy! Here's some of the photos I've taken so far:
I took these (above) photos in my cousins' backyard in Deer Park, IL. (Hi, Hillary :D ) The most snow I got to see while spending time in Chicago.

My beautiful baby on Christmas morning. Holly loves Christmas because of all the wrapping paper and presents :o) [If you've ever spoken with anyone in my family, you'd know] She is our pride and joy. Srsly.
